Congratulations on your engagement! We know this is an incredibly exciting (and stressful!) time for you! You get to walk down the aisle and pledge your life to the person of your dreams! We know there is a lot of pressure to make sure that everything goes perfectly, but that pressure shouldn’t be on you!
You have chosen us (and all of your other amazing vendors) because of our expertise in the wedding industry. We know everything there is to know about our chosen profession (or we will figure it out so you don’t have to). We know exactly how to make this day perfect for you!

When you come into the store, we will ask you what your inspiration is for your dress. We will ask you price point and silhouette. We will even ask to see pictures of what you are looking for. And then based on our conversation, we will pull some gowns for you to try on. As the appointment progresses, trust us! We are listening to what you like or don’t like about each dress. We are making mental notes and adjusting what we will pull next based on how you feel about each dress you try.
We know every dress in the store. We know how much they cost (we won’t pull something above your price point without talking to you), we know the size of each dress (so we won’t pull something too small that will just discourage you), and we know what each of them look like on a real person. When you don’t let us do our job, 9 times out of 10 you or your bridal party will pull something that doesn’t work for you or your budget.
Every now and then, we may pull something seemingly random. Girl, put it on! Those “wildcard” dresses are often “the one!” Something about what you have said or how you have reacted to the other gowns will inspire us to pull the “wildcard” dress. It may not have the elements (i.e. long sleeves) that you are wanting, but it will probably have the essence of what you want for your big day and wedding gown! And who knows, maybe it will be the dress that makes you truly feel like a bride, or makes you feel skinny, or whatever it is that makes you say “yes!” to your dress.

And y’all, this works will ALL of your wedding vendors! If you have already described to your florist the types of flowers you like, shown them inspiration pics of arrangements, and given them a color palette and budget, back off and let them do their thing! Your florist has spent years perfecting their craft. They know the exact height your greenery needs to be to really make the hydrangeas pop.
If you have already given your DJ a list of “must play” songs and a list of “don’t play unless you want me to stab you with a cake knife” songs, let them know genres of music you and your fiancé like and back off and enjoy the music!
