Girls Just Wanna Have Fun

 

Cyndi Lauper said it best- "Girls just wanna have fun!" We do. We really, really do. Every woman I know enjoys letting their hair down and having a good time. Sometimes, we hear our jam come on and we dance with abandon. Or maybe we hang out with our friends and laugh until our sides hurt.  Perhaps, curling up with your pet and a good book is fun for you. Whatever your idea of fun, women aren't afraid to indulge once in a while.

 

Why should your wedding day be any different? Tradition says we should follow all of these rules to have the perfect wedding. We wear a certain dress because it's dignified.  We walk down the aisle to a pre-determined song because it is time-honored and classic . We pose for photos a certain way because it is elegant.

Keep all your traditions- they are part of who you are and where you came from. But does tradition have to exclude having a blast?

 

I say "nay!" (Unless having fun makes you break out in hives). But your wedding should be a reflection of who you are- and I know you are fun! So break out your magic wand and cast a spell!

 

Dance the night away with a giant light up robot!

 

Have an "Up!" themed wedding!

 

Soak up the sun and rock out those shades!

 

Feed each other pizza instead of cake! Now I am hungry- yum!

 

However you choose to incorporate some fun into your wedding day, don't forget to laugh. You are making memories with your forever person- make them fun memories!
